The Protective Power of Progesterone

Progesterone isn’t just about fertility or mood—it’s a protector. Research shows that women with higher lifetime progesterone exposure have lower risks of breast cancer, stronger bones, healthier hearts, and better sleep.

  • Bone health: Progesterone stimulates bone-building cells, reducing osteoporosis.

  • Breast health: It reduces breast cancer risk and even helps damaged cells self-destruct.

  • Heart health: It lowers inflammation and protects against stroke and heart disease.

  • Overall vitality: It supports libido, sleep, memory, and emotional balance.

These protective effects remind me of God’s promise in Exodus 15:26, “I am the Lord, who heals you.” While complete healing awaits us in eternity, here and now God has given us tools—like progesterone—to protect and strengthen us.

We live in a fallen world where our bodies are subject to aging and decline. Yet, through wisdom and stewardship, we can care for our health in ways that honor Him. Progesterone is one of those gifts—an instrument of protection that helps us live more fully as we await the day of perfect restoration.
