Fairhope
Faith

My work in functional medicine is inseparable from my faith in Christ. For me, medicine isn’t just about managing symptoms or slowing decline - it’s about honoring God’s original design for our bodies. When God created us, He created us for wholeness, not brokenness. Death and disease were never part of His plan. Though we now live in a fallen world, I believe functional medicine gives us glimpses of Eden - ways to support the body so we can live with vitality, clarity, and joy as God intended.

This message is at the very heart of Fairhope Faith: pursuing healing not only through prayer and Scripture, but also through the tools and wisdom He has placed in our hands. I believe we are called to steward our bodies - mind, body, and spirit - so that our lives bear fruit for His glory.

At the Rooted Retreat 2025 in Lexington, KY, I had the privilege of sharing this message and encouraging women to see their health through the lens of faith. Watch this video of the full lecture from Rooted to hear how faith and functional medicine come together to remind us of our true purpose: to live fully, fearlessly, and faithfully until the day Christ makes all things new.

Check back periodically for more reflections on faith and functional medicine.
